LOVE LOVE LOVE this place but I was a little upset this past weekend, not with the bar but with the retail shop. My Husband and I finished our drinks at the bar and as we were leaving, I stopped into the retail store to pick up a hoodie that I had my eye on. I specifically sent my sunglasses down on the shelf while I tried the hoodie on. Unfortunately I forgot to pick them up when we left. About 10 minutes later, we were already back at our hotel when I remembered that I left them there. I quickly called the shop, spoke with the girl that waited on me and told her EXACTLY where I left them. She comes back 2 minutes later and says she could not find them. I want to do my best to believe her but seriously I called 10 minutes after I walked out, and there was nobody else in the shop so I really don't think that they were picked up in that short amount of time. Either she didn't really look for them or god knows what else. It won't stop me from coming back here but I am a little upset becasue my Husband and I BOTH know where they were resting. Shame on me for putting them down.

Love this place..... the setting, the ambiance, the scenery.... this place is just great. They've got the best wings in OC.... with many sauces to choose from, my favorite being Bob O'Dell (butter and Old Bay)..... Besides the wings and a great appetizer menu, you've gotta check out their sandwiches. The Crab Cake Club and/or the Crabby Chicken are my favorites (and to die for)..... great setting, view and food!!!!! And don't forget to pick up a T-Shirt or gift with their famous and beautiful art work.

This is another great bayside restarant/bar right on the docks. Outdoor bar and seating area is very cool. You're about as close to the water as you can get with this place. Love it. Food was good. I would go here again.

We went on a Thursday night with live entertainment. Great location on the bay. We had the best server, Chandler! She was attentive to refills and was very friendly. Would definitely recommend for a fun night out with friends!

Back in high school, the cool kids wore M R Ducks t-shirts. Fast forward to last weekend (Saturday 5th), my wife and I finally went for the first time. Although it was really crowded and a band was playing, we were able to find a seat. The only "indoor" seating was around the bar, so we sat out in the early evening (but still blazing hot) sun. The food was good, and the drinks were better. Also despite it being very crowded, we received great service! Before we left, we bought a t-shirt. Does this makes me one of the cool kids now? Fortunately, I don't care about that anymore.

A nice cheap bar on the bayside, basic menu and great service. I've been coming here with family for almost 20 years and have never had a bad experience.

We decided on MR Ducks because it seems like a "cool" place and I was with 2 twenty four year olds... and we'd just gotten finished parasailing at that pier. SO, MR Ducks it is. The food was "eh" and the service about the same. We ordered crab dip - not very good. One kid got a kids meal - Mac and Cheese - "eh". One got smoothered fries which she didn't love and hubby ate most of, but he said it was "eh". My son and I got the Island Chicken Sandwich - and the honey mustard was yuk so we both scraped it off. The rest of the sandwich was tasty enough - not great, but OK. The fries were grease sticks. My son's girl friend got a chicken tender sandwich that was huge and she said not very good. Hubby enjoyed his burger, however... so 1 out of 7 dishes were good. The other 6 were edible and did fulfill our need for food. As for service - it took forever, and every time we wanted something we had to find our waitress. We didn't tip well...we did tip, just not well... and she should know that it's because we tipped what she earned. "Meh. I've experienced better" is about right. I think this place would score higher for drinks on the bay - but we weren't drinking at lunch time.

I think this place would be great for drinks, but overall the food was not very good. The fish tacos consisted of 2 small tortillas with what looked like a fish stick in each. The mango salsa was good, sweet with a kick at the end. The Crab and chicken sandwich also had a problem: the crab dip topping was cold inside. I was also upset to see an upcharge on the bill for fries- I had just been asked, 'Chips or fries", no mention of extra charge. The music is good, it has a good view of the bay and all the boat action by the bridge, and the drinks were decent. However, the food is not worth coming back for.

Great drinks and great staff! Food is alright but for bar food you shouldn't expect too much. Just sit at the bar that's out over the water, take a sip and relax. They often have bands that play a variety of great music! When I plan my OC vacations, I always judge hotels by walking distance to MR DUCKS! Who says they were out of crabs one day in 2010, don't come here? ha ha Missing out, this place rocks.
